Now we're actually split between two different versions of the design. Me and Greg Pak prefer this one, option "J," but Fred Van Lente and Jordan White prefer option "P" from here-- [link] I think the green's a little too midtone, and I just think the white looks slicker. Personally I think he should just change his clothes from time to time, and that way everyone wins, but apparently that's too much to ask of a superhero, so the editors, err, I mean, AMADEUS HIMSELF put the question to the fans on Twitter [link] So write in and tell him what you think, especially if you like the white shirt better!
Your designs on Amadeus are fantastic! I've been reading iHerc since it began and really enjoyed your Thorcules storyline. I'm really looking forward to the Prince of Power mini and I think your art will be a perfect fit for Cho and his adventures!
The green shirt/yellow (gold?) tie certainly evokes a homage to his fallen friend, and it would be appropriate starting off. But, subsequently, mixing it up fashionwise would also be good. What do you think are some other styles of clothing someone like Amadeus--who I assume is not only the Prince of Power but the personal representative of Athena Panhellenios, the new Queen of the Olympians--would wear?
Man, people are aaaalways comparing me to Warren Ellis. Do I look like I eat scones and play cricket or something? Heh, actually, that's not true. However, Amadeus is as arrogant as a Warren Ellis character, although not nearly as smug. And I guarantee you he much, much prefers coffee to tea
Ellis is quite fond of the plain black suit, white shirt combination. Look at Jack Hawksmoor, Pete Wisdom, Jack Cross, Nathan Cane (Ocean) and to some extent the police oficer from his Dark Blue series, Frank Ironwine and Simon Spectre. Tis all.
